Blue Ribbon Poncho: Knit Poncho

My great aunt and mother taught me the basics of knitting as a child. However, I never took up the hobby until I broke my hip in 2016. Six months of bed rest requires one to pick up a hobby in order to stay sane! I taught myself complex stitches through Youtube, podcasts and google searches. I’m pretty proud to say that I earned a blue ribbon for this lime green poncho.

I purchased the yarn for this project from Yarn Matters in Williamsburg. As a general rule, I don’t love yarn shops even though I’m an avid knitter. However, I LOVE Yarn Matters. They keep an excellent stock of local yarns and trendy patterns.

Pattern: Purchased from Elizabeth Fallone on Ravelry.
Yarn: Jill Draper, Windham-Bottle
