After a long work week, there is no better way to start the weekend than with dinner and a movie. In fact, this is actually how I spend the majority of my Friday nights. In fact, movie nights are my favorite date night option with my husband! Last weekend was no different.
When it comes to our meals for movie nights, we almost exclusively have some pizza variation. During the summer, we plant a large garden and I make my own pizza sauce. Let me tell you there is nothing better than homemade pizza sauce from the tomatoes that you’ve grown! This week, we decided on pizza rolls for our main entrée. This is a quick and easy meal that takes only three ingredients!
Ingredients:
- Pepperoni
- 1pkg Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 4 cheese sticks (cut in half)
- Pizza Sauce
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. You’ll lay each triangular crescent roll flat on a pan. Place 1-2 pieces of pepperoni on each crescent and one-half of a cheese stick. Roll the crescent as you normally do and place on pan. Repeat the process 8 times or until you are out of crescent rolls. Cook the rolls for 15 minutes or until they are golden brown. Serve with pizza sauce as a side and enjoy!
Wondering what our movie of choice was this go round? Well, it was my husband’s turn to pick and he chose Suicide Squad. Trust me I was not looking forward to catching this film! But, it surprised me. I really enjoyed it and I have a new found love for Harley Quinn. If you love super hero movies, you have to try this one!
