I loved Downton Abbey, and I can’t wait to see the movie later this year. I’m loving this Downton Abbey inspired shawl my mom made me using Miss Babs yarn. Marinade Designs published the pattern a few years ago as a knit along Kal inspired by middle sister Edith and her many secrets. You can still purchase the pattern HERE.
Miss Babs Yarn
Miss Babs yarn is dyed in Mountain City, Tennessee. Produced by a small team of artisans, all of Miss Babs yarn takes inspiration from nature. The company website highlights these inspirations through the sites photo gallery. For this project, my mom used the color Free Spirit. I love the transition of colors from green, cream, teal, orange and purple. The variegation of the yarn allows the fiber to stripe beautifully.
The shape and size of the piece are incredible and fits well as a scarf or shawl. I’m not a huge fan of wraps, but I do love this one. I can’t wait to wear it al spring long!
