Greenbrier Grille and Lodge

Last weekend, I traveled to West Virginia to celebrate my cousin’s wedding. Congrats to the happy couple! We opted to take the WV Highland Highway home. The Highland Highway is a lovely drive with overlooks, campgrounds and more charm than you can imagine. There is limited cell phone service on the highway, which is refreshing. The Highland Highway begins in Richwood, WV and ends in Marlington, WV.

Since we were taking our time coming home, we opted to stop at the Greenbrier Grill and Lodge. The Greenbrier Grill is located at the end of the Highland Highway and serves family style food all day. The food isn’t spectacular, and it is pricey. Lunch for three came to $36.00, but the charm was worth it. Also, a meal without cell phones is worth the extra expense. You guessed it; our cell phones didn’t work at the grill! Verizon offered no coverage and only the message No Service.

The Greenbrier Grille and Lodge boasts five rooms available to rent. I’m hoping the next time I head down the Highland Highway to stay the night. If you find yourself, on the Highland Highway be sure to stop at the Greenbrier Grill and Lodge. Be sure and let them know that I sent you.
