Easter Dinner

Holiday Hosting: Easter Dinner

Easter is one of my favorite holidays! I love the newness of spring, the bright colors, and of course the resurrection story. Each year, we host Easter dinner at our home and we had a fabulous time. My house is a mess, and I’m still exhausted but this Easter was definitely one to remember.

After Easter last year, I purchased clearance Easter items from Pier 1. I waited all year to use these cute Easter puppy plates. I meticulously plan family dinners, and somehow, I always end up with copious amounts of food. No one left our home hungry, that’s for sure! We served all the traditional fare: corn pudding, honey ham, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and yeast rolls.

I kept my Easter tradition of serving peanut butter chocolate eggs and added chocolate chip cookie dough eggs to the mix as well. I had plans to make coconut macaroon nests that would be topped off with jelly beans. But, I couldn’t get the nests to adhere and admitted defeat. Next time!

Our dessert buffet was phenomenal, in addition to the chocolate eggs I served: snickerdoodles, Ukrop’s/Good Meadow Rainbow Cookies, jelly beans, Lindt Easter chocolate, fruit, and festive sugar cookies.

After months of searching, I found the perfect Easter dress on Amazon. The bunnies were a little oddly shaped, but I’m not complaining.
