I’ve tried several fashion box subscriptions and disliked them all until I tried Stitch Fix. Stitch Fix came highly recommended by a friend. I’ll be honest, my first two boxes were awful. But, for my third box… I finally cracked the code for an EPIC Stitch Fix box and purchased all five pieces. I’ve begun to wonder if I’ve met my stylist in real life. She truly got my style.
My end goal with Stitch Fix is to create a capsule work wardrobe.
How I Scored An Epic Stitch Fix Box
1. Honesty. Be honest about your style and sizes. Honesty will help your stylist determine what apparel fits you! And of course, you want the clothing to fit you appropriately. Also, be honest about items you like or don’t like. Remember your stylist won’t know your preferences unless you tell them!
2. Leave Notes. Let your stylist know what you like, and any events you have coming up. I asked for comfortable and trendy work apparel.
3. Pinterest. You’ll want to create a Pinterest board of looks that you like, and you’ll also want to make notes on your images. I added a few of my favorite closet staples on my board to give my stylist an idea of the items I love and wear regularly.
Item One: Skies Are Blue Pink Blazer
I didn’t know I needed a pink blazer in my life, but now I want to spend the rest of my life wearing this piece. I paired the piece with a black dress, set of pink Kendra Scott earrings with a matching necklace, and leopard flats.
Item Two: Michel Studio Alexa Skinny Pant
I never wear pants to work. I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of work pants that I like and that fit well. I was shocked when I tried this pair on and loved them!
Item Three: Emory Park Dulce Short Sleeve Knit Top
I paired item three with item two for a complete look that I loved for casual Friday! For a pop of color, I added my new Orchid Rothy’s.
Item Four: Le Lis Maura Zipper Detail Textured Knit Skirt
In my opinion, leopard is a neutral and my stylist agreed! I paired this skirt with a black top and tank and received a ton of compliments on the look.
Item Five: Papermoon Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse
I struggled with this piece; I originally planned to return it. However, by purchasing the entire Stitch Fix box, I received a 25% off discount and opted to keep it. The tulip sleeve blouse is growing on me! And, the white color is a change of pace for me, and I rarely wear white.
My next box is arriving later next week, and I can’t wait to see if the next box is as magical. Are you ready to try Stitch Fix? Join via my affiliate link, and we will both receive $25 in merchandise credit.
