Knitting is a form of meditation for me. There is something about the click of the needles that I find incredibly therapeutic and relaxing. I’ve spent a lot of time behind my needles working to increase my skill and complete new items. I’m so excited to undertake one particular sHERO project later this year.
Women’s Knit Poncho
I love a matching knitted poncho and hat set. For this set, I went an extra step and included a pair of fingerless gloves into the mix. I wore this piece all winter, but I just finished the matching hat! I love the versatility that this poncho provides. It can be worn across the shoulders like pictured or up around your neck as a scarf. And, who can forget the cable detail on the gloves and poncho? Aren’t they just fabulous?!? I packed this set on my trip to Ireland, and it was perfection. Spot this knit poncho making a cameo as a scarf.
I purchased the pattern from Ravelry artist Emma Fassio. I love her work and frequently buy her patterns for my projects. Her designs are always stylish and comfortable to wear. Not to mention, the patterns are simple to read.
These cabled gloves were simple to make, as they were knitted flat and a seam was sewn to close the glove. The cable detailing of the glove is just amazing, and the pattern was simple to follow. Hand sewing the gloves together ensured a perfect fit!
I used Neighborhood Fiber Co yarn for this knit poncho and hat set. I love the quality of Neighborhood yarn and color schemes.
