Saint Kitts: Catamaran Snorkeling Cruise

A trip to Saint Kitts isn’t complete without a catamaran snorkeling cruise. Our four-hour catamaran snorkeling cruise included transportation to and from our hotel, a four-hour cruise, an open bar, and a Caribbean lunch.

We arrived at the port, and met our catamaran crew. Before boarding the cruise, the crew confiscated our shoes! Losing my shoes before boarding the vessel felt a little uncomfortable, but once onboard I quickly forgot I was without shoes!

On board, our crew gave us a quick safety lesson and a tour of the vessel. Then, we were off on our four-hour tour. The crew was quick to inform us that if you planned on snorkeling, you shouldn’t partake in alcohol. As the captain explained, we don’t want you to drink and snorkel.

Our cruise’s snorkeling location was just off the coast of Saint Kitts at Shitten’s Bay. Shitten’s Bay is known as one of the best snorkeling locations in Saint Kitts and is home to a shipwreck. The weather and snorkeling were perfect during our adventure.

The crew provided basic snorkeling instructions, however, we were all able to pick up on the process and enjoyed over an hour of snorkeling and saw some incredible sea life, and reefs.

After snorkeling, the crew prepared our Caribbean lunch and we cruised back to the dock. The crew kept us entertained on our ride home by playing lively music and dancing about the vessel.

The Catamaran Snorkeling Cruise was one of the best experiences our family shared while on the island. I only wish I had brought a waterproof camera to capture the fun we had snorkeling.

Have you ever been snorkeling?
