An afternoon at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens is always memorable, but it’s unforgettable when the butterflies are on display. The Butterflies Live display is open from April to October every year at the gardens. It’s a Richmond tradition.
The first time, I visited the display I was in awe. The butterflies fly freely around the room and often land on visitors. I had a visitor during our latest visit to the display.
Lewis Ginter releases butterflies into the display every day, so the butterflies living in the gardens change daily. Throughout the display, educational material is displayed for visitors to learn more about the life cycle of butterflies as well as their habits.
The variations and colors of the butterflies are incredible. The experiences are so peaceful and memorable. I highly recommend this experience to anyone.
